Position: Region Sales Manager / Product Application Specialist
Location: In the territory - work from home

Job Description:

This position is responsible for the promotion and sale of a broad range of industrial relays and timers and other select control and signaling products including Magnecraft, Zelio and Harmony brands within the assigned territory. Channels to market include distribution and direct sales to OEM accounts along with supporting the Schneider Electric sales force (direct and distribution). This position will report to the Sales Operations Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Sets goals and objectives, develops sales/business plans, establishes call plans and strategies, develops account profiles and executes the sales plan for obtaining year-over-year sales growth for the Magnecraft brand.
• Applies market and account skills necessary for dealing with specific target audiences such as distributors, direct OEM's and the Schneider Electric direct sales force and distribution channel.
• Provides application, technical and commercial support to the Schneider Electric/Square D sales channel, direct OEM and distributor accounts.
• Provides weekly call activity report
• Coordinates with the Manager, Channel Development (Magnecraft brand)to ensure that distributor strategy is executed consistently while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
• Be aware of the competitive trends in the industrial relay market with competitors such as Omron, Tyco and Idec and communicates this feedback to Marketing and Senior Leadership.
• Develops and maintains successful relationships with all distributors, direct accounts and Schneider Sales & Marketing personnel within assigned territory.
• Provides Marketing with new product idea and reports on competitive activities and product features.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering is preferred.
• Experience with industrial sales and/or marketing with a background in product training, solution selling, distribution management, pricing and selling channels is preferred.
• Fluent experience and knowledge of MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and CRM software (Salesforce.com is preferred).
• Self starter and effective communicator who is passionate about his/her position and committed to fostering a "team" approach and successful results.
