| Company: St. Jude Medical (AF Division) Title: Software Engineer Duties: Designs, implements and maintains applications software using Linux, C++, Qt, multi-threading and multi-processing. Designs and implements software supporting communication between employer's Atrial Fibrillation diagnostic system and other systems used in electrophysiology. Implements software using IPC, shared memory, semaphores, and message queues, signals, system calls, sockets, TCP/IP, DICOM and Xml. Develops unit level tests and supporting emulators. Supports performance improvement activities. Authors and maintains design documentation and participates with team members on software development that meets employer's internal and external agency standards. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree as determined by a written evaluation in Computer Science, plus no fewer than five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a software engineer, at least one year of which involved designing and developing applications software for embedded systems through the use of multi-threading, multi-processing, TCP/IP, C++, LINUX, XML, QT, Enterprise Architect, and IPC. Must also have experience with the following: DYNIX/ptx, SGI Irix, or Unix; DICOM; and software simulation and firmware flashing development. All experience may have been gained concurrently.
